Real. Creative. Me.
I’m the founder of Rhythm and Exposure — a Charlotte-based, LGBTQ+ and woman-owned media studio blending bold design, vibrant photography, and authentic storytelling. From events and concerts to branding and websites, I help artists, families, and small businesses bring their stories to life. As a former educator and lifelong creative, I bring energy, empathy, and a personal touch to every project.
I’m a photographer, designer, and storyteller who’s drawn to vibrant color, joyful energy, and anything with a powerful story. Whether it’s a concert, a community event, or a quiet family moment, I specialize in capturing real, raw, and meaningful visuals — especially those beautiful, unscripted seconds where people are simply living and connecting.

I originally hail from Chicago, and I love to travel — my camera is my passport to discovering beauty around the world. I live in Charlotte with my amazing husband Jeff (a talented web developer), our two kids, two dogs, a bearded dragon, and two turtles — many of whom make surprise appearances in my photos.
Outside of my creative work, I’m a former educator, an advocate for public schools, and an elected member of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board. Every part of my life intersects in my work, and I believe in bringing that full, authentic energy to every project.

🎨 What I Do
Rhythm and Exposure is a full-service creative studio helping clients tell bold, beautiful stories through:
- 🖥️ Website Design — Custom, responsive sites tailored to your vision.
- 🎨 Flyers & Graphics — Eye-catching event flyers and social content.
- 📸 Photography — Concerts, branding, portraits, and lifestyle shoots.
- 🎥 Videography — Highlight reels and creative video storytelling.
I specialize in working with artists, small businesses, families, and community-centered brands that want more than just visuals — they want connection.
🌊 Outside the Lens
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at a local venue soaking up live music, scuba diving with friends, or curled up with a good book. Life itself is a constant inspiration, and my favorite work often springs from the most unexpected moments.

đź’ˇ Mission & Values
At Rhythm and Exposure, I believe that visuals should be as dynamic and layered as the people behind them. As an LGBTQ+ woman and small business owner, I value representation, collaboration, and bold creativity.
My mission is to create content that reflects your energy, story, and vibe — not a cookie-cutter version of what media “should” look like. Whether we’re building a website or capturing an event, it’s a true collaboration from start to finish.
This studio is a safe, inclusive space — and I’m honored to work with clients from all walks of life.
